Meetings

All meetings are from 6 to 8 p.m.  Please check below for place of meeting and when known information about the speaker and topic and a brief professional bio will also be given.

Meetings are now held at Gilda’s Club, 600 John Deere Road, Suite 101, Unity Point Hospital, Moline, IL unless otherwise noted , by the month.  Some meeting in the future may be held at Genesis West in Davenport.

Gilda’s Club has the capacity to hold what they call hybrid meetings, meaning a combination of in-person and online meetings.  Gilda’s has a requirement that we register as Gilda’s Club members, and sign-up for each meeting (no one will be turned away if not a member or signed-up for the meeting).  Registration may be online or at a meeting.  You can find the calendar of upcoming meetings on the Gilda’s website, which is www.gildasclubqc.org.  We will continue to send monthly email meeting reminders, and meeting announcements may also be found on our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/USTOOGQC or type in “prostate cancer support” and our group will pop-up.

We believe the partnership with Gilda’s will enhance the variety of speakers available to us, and allow you the convenience of attending the meetings online, if the situation dictates, or if that is your preference.

  • We invite speakers to share with us during the first hour and if we have no speaker we may have a video relating to prostate cancer to view.
  • The second hour we invite newly diagnosed patients to discuss their considerations for treatment.

Meetings are held monthly, except for no meetings in January, February, and December.

Note:  If you have questions or concerns before the meetings ,contact Michael Guster at ustoogqc@gmail.com

Also check our facebook page for information https://www.facebook.com/USTOOGQC/

Information regarding restrictions/requirements is ever changing.  Currently the hospital requires masks for entry; once in Gilda’s Club masks may be removed.  Please plan to be flexible on this issue.
